Day 1: Andahuaylillas - Raqchi - La Raya - Museo Pucará
- Departure from Cusco: Check-in of luggage at 6:20 am, departure at 6:40 am. Several stops will be made along the route to visit archaeological sites until reaching Puno.
- Andahuaylillas Sixtine Chapel: Dating back to the 17th century, known as the “Sixtine of the Andes” due to its beautiful murals, gold leaf works, and Cusco School paintings (25 min).
- Raqchi Archaeological Complex: Also known as the Temple of the god Wiracocha, featuring Colcas (Andean granaries) and impressive stone and adobe buildings (40 min).
- Buffet Lunch: Served at the La Pascana tourist restaurant, offering a wide range of national and regional dishes, delicious desserts, and hot drinks (40 min).
- Paso de la Raya: Located at 4,338 m (14,232 ft), this is the border between Cusco and Puno, offering a view of the Nevado de Chimboya. Time for photos (7–10 min).
- Pucará Lithic Museum: Explore ceramics and sculptures representing zoomorphic figures from the Pucará culture, dating from 1600 BC to 400 AD. Highlights include the Hatunñaqac sculpture (30 min).
- Arrival in Puno: Private terminal at approximately 5:30 pm.

What you need to bring:
- Warm and comfortable clothing: Due to the varying altitudes, it’s important to be prepared for cooler temperatures, especially at higher stops like the Paso de la Raya.
- Sunscreen: The high altitude can increase sun exposure, so don’t forget to apply sunscreen.
- Hat or cap: To protect yourself from the sun during the visits.
- Comfortable walking shoes: Since there will be stops at archaeological sites, it’s best to wear shoes that are easy to walk in.
- Water and snacks: Although the tour includes some meals, it’s a good idea to bring water and some light snacks in case you feel hungry during the journey.
- Camera: You won’t want to miss the beautiful views along the route, so consider bringing a camera or a phone with a good battery.
- Light jacket or rain poncho: In case of rain or sudden changes in temperature, it’s useful to have a waterproof jacket.
- Personal documents: Bring your identification and any necessary documents, especially if you have a confirmed reservation.
- Extra money: For any additional purchases or entrance fees to sites not included in the tour.
