- Visit to Moray (38 km from Cusco):
- Inca agricultural laboratory with concentric ring-shaped terraces (4 circles).
- Temperature variations (0.5 to 1.5 °C) in each terrace, used to grow crops that didn’t thrive in the area.
- Visit to the Salinas de Maras:
- Over 3,000 salt ponds, producing 50 to 80 kg of salt per pond per season.
- Supplying salt to Cusco and surrounding areas during the Inca period.
- The process is natural, using underground salty water, and takes about two months.
- Pink mineral salt is highly sought after for its medicinal properties.
- Return to Cusco: The tour ends around 2:00 PM.
