Choquequirao Trek - 4 Days
Day 1: Cusco - Capuliyoc - Santa Rosa
Day 1: Cusco - Capuliyoc - Santa Rosa
- Departure from Cusco at 5:00 am, driving to Capuliyoc (8:30 am).
- First breakfast prepared by the chef.
- 4-hour descent to Chiquiska for lunch.
- Spectacular views of Apurimac Canyon and the Andean landscapes.
- 2 more hours of hiking to Santa Rosa (overnight camping).

Day 2: Santa Rosa - Marampata - Choquequirao
Day 2: Santa Rosa - Marampata - Choquequirao
- 4-hour uphill hike to Marampata with views of sugar cane farms.
- Lunch in a local house with mountain and river views.
- 2 more hours uphill to Choquequirao (3057 m / 10029 ft).
- Camp near the Choquequirao archaeological site.
- Distance: 14 km / 8.6 miles
- Walking Time: 8 hours
- Camp Elevation: 2866 m / 9401 ft
- Difficulty: Moderate
Day 3: Choquequirao - Chiquisca
Day 3: Choquequirao - Chiquisca
- Wake up to a spectacular sunrise and coffee or coca tea.
- 3-hour descent to Santa Rosa for lunch.
- Continue downhill for 2 hours, then 2 hours uphill to Chiquiska (last camp).
- Distance: 16 km / 9.9 miles
- Walking Time: 8 hours
- Camp Elevation: 1800 m / 5905 ft
- Difficulty: Moderate
Day 4: Chiquisca - Saywite - Cusco
Day 4: Chiquisca - Saywite - Cusco
- 4-hour uphill hike back to Capuliyoc.
- Enjoy a traditional Pachamanca underground barbecue.
- Visit Saywite archaeological site (mysterious rock believed to be an irrigation system).
- Return to Cusco by private transport, drop-off at the hotel around 6:00 pm.
- Distance: 8 km / 4.9 miles
- Walking Time: 4 hours
- Difficulty: Moderate
