Inca Trail to Machupicchu 2 Days
Day 1: Ollantaytambo - Km 104 - Chachabamba - Wiñaywayna - Machupicchu - Aguas Calientes
Day 1: Ollantaytambo - Km 104 - Chachabamba - Wiñaywayna - Machupicchu - Aguas Calientes
- Departure from Cusco at 4:00 a.m. by private transport to Ollantaytambo train station.
- Train to Km 104 (Chachabamba village) to start the trek.
- Visit Chachabamba ruins (2,250 m.a.s.l.), historically a storage area for goods en route to Machu Picchu.
- Trek to Wiñay Wayna, with scenic views of the Urubamba River and orchid sightings.
- Stop to explore Wiñay Wayna ruins and have lunch.
- Continue hiking to Machu Picchu, with a distant view from Inti Punku (Sun Gate).
- Descend to Aguas Calientes and spend the night in a comfortable hostel.
Day 2: Machupicchu – Cusco
Day 1: Machupicchu – Cusco
- Morning bus ride to Machu Picchu (2,400 m.a.s.l.).
- Guided tour of the ruins (~2 hours) and free time for lunch.
- Afternoon train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (departing at 6:30 p.m.).
- Transfer by transport to Cusco, arriving around 10:30 p.m.
- End of services.

- Transfer from your hotel to the train station.
- Expedition train to Km 104 (starting point of the hike).
- Entrance fees to Machu Picchu.
- Permits and fees for the 2-Day Inca Trail.
- Professional English-speaking guide.
- Guided visits to Wiñay Wayna and Choquesuysuy.
- Guided tour of Machu Picchu on the second day.
- 1 breakfast and 1 dinner included.
- 1 snack and a soda for the first day.
- Private room (for 2 or 3 people) in our hostel, with shower and bathroom.
- Two bus tickets: Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes and back to Machu Picchu.
- Expedition train return from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo train station.

What you need to bring:
- Original passport.
- ISIC student card (if applicable).
- Small daypack.
- 2 liters of drinking water.
- Camera.
- Rain jacket (for the rainy season: December to January).
- Extra weather-appropriate clothing (for the rainy season: December to January).
- Hat or cap for sun protection.
- Sunscreen with high SPF.
- Insect repellent (no reports of malaria or yellow fever in the area).
- Comfortable hiking boots, running shoes, or sturdy footwear.
